The prime minister eliminates the criteria for appointing the head of the control body: “They were too restrictive”

The government has modified the emergency ordinance regarding the appointment of the prime minister's control body, eliminating all the initial criteria. The spokesman of the Executive, Ioana Dogioiu, explained that the decision was made in order not to limit the choice of a competent person.
Asked about the reasons for the basis of this change, Ioana Dogioiu said on Thursday that Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan considered the old criteria “Cu far too restrictive and which could greatly limit the possibility of choosing a competent person but not exactly entering that pattern”.
The government spokesman said he did not know in detail what the old criteria were.
“I have explained why the change was made. If you refer to a particular criterion, I do not think the question of the criminal case, but there are state secretaries, they must meet the criteria for a Secretary of State“, Added Ioana Dogioiu, quoted by News.ro.
