Contracts for Narew radars were signed. Kosiniak-Kamysz about the investment

The signed contracts provide for the purchase of 46 radars of the PET/PCL passive location, of which 28 is a basic order and 18 – optional. The equipment will be provided by the PGZ-Narew consortium, and the contractor will be PIT-Radwar from the Polish Armaments Group.
“It is PLN 5.8 billion invested in a Polish arms company. Radars will serve to protect Polish airspace and increase our abilities in the face of threats. It is an investment in security and Polish industry” -said Kosiniak-Kamysz, adding that security goes hand in hand with the economy and creating jobs.
The head of the Ministry of National Defense noted that the signing of contracts is part of the ministry's priorities: development of aerostatic systems, passive radars, radio and drone systems. – “It is an absolute priority for me,” he emphasized.
Innovative radar technology
Passive location systems ensure continuous observation of the airspace regardless of active radars and remain undetectable for enemy ESM systems. Radars combine two subsystems – PET (Passive Emitter Tracking) and PCL (Passive Coherent Location), enabling wide coverage of the frequency band thanks to the signal fusion module.
The value of the basic order (28 pcs) is about PLN 3.9 billion, optional (18 pcs) – PLN 1.9 billion. The implementation of the supply is scheduled for 2030–2038. Radars will be an element of integrated, multi -layer anti -aircraft and anti -cancer defense.
During the fair, an agreement was also signed between the Armament Agency and the “Łucznik” Broni factory – Radom Sp. z o. o. for the delivery of 23,000 MSBS Grot rifles in the latest version. “This is another step in the development of a modern army” – emphasized Deputy Minister of Defense Paweł Bejda. Until now, the Polish Army has already received 160,000 pieces of this weapon.
The XXXIII International Defense Industry Salon in Kielce began on Tuesday. Over 800 companies from 35 countries and delegations from 45 countries take part in it. The fair will last until September 5.
