The government adopted a draft riding law act for seventeen -year -olds and compulsory helmets – the Chancellery of the Prime Minister said on Tuesday. The project assumes, among others enabling seventeen -year -olds to apply for a category B driving license, but introduces a trial period and the rules for reversing powers to young drivers.

According to the proposal, the issuing of a category B driving license is to be restored to people over 17 years of age and obtained the written consent of parents or guardians.

In the trial period, the so -called A young driver It is forbidden to consume alcohol or an agent similar to alcohol, exceeding a speed of 50 km/h in a built -up area, 80 km/h outside built -up areas and 100 km/h on the highway and dual -track express road, carriage of passenger passengers or as part of occasional transport.

Such a driver, being in a trial period, can transport minors, only in the company of an adult passenger, which is to prevent accidents related to the return of young people from events.

In addition, the project provides for drivers from reducing penalty points for serious offenses by way of training. Currently, a person entered in the records of vehicle drivers can participate in the training at their own expense, which reduces the number of penalty points.

The planned regulation also assumes the receipt of a driving license for exceeding the permissible speed by more than 50 km/h on a single -way two -way road outside the built -up area.

As announced by the boss Dariusz Klimczak, the introduction provision was added to the project statutory obligation to wear a helmet while cycling, electrical scooter and personal transport devices (UTO) by children under 16.

There is also an increase in the permissible speed of agricultural tractors from 30 km/h to 40 km/h.

The draft amendment also reduces the restrictions on driving license examiners working in voivodship traffic centers and enables them to run a business. To comply with the provisions of the Act with EU law, the examiner cannot at the same time work as an instructor at a driving school.

The amendment also clarified in what situation you can finish the driving test before the examiner has been completed by all the tasks specified in the scope of the exam. (PAP)
