More than 111 tons of infected fruits and vegetables from Asia were brought to the Krasnoyarsk Territory

Over 111 tons of imported products infected with quarantine pests were detected in August. The parties of vegetables and fruits received from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and other Asian countries were not admitted to the counties of the region, the center for assessing the quality of agricultural products said.

Laboratory studies have shown that 6 tons of Beijing cabbage, 800 kg of broccoli and 2.8 tons of garlic were infected with Western floral thrips. The eastern stem is found in 20 tons of nectarines, 2.1 tons of peaches and 22.8 tons of apples. For the first time this year, a melon fly was detected in 20 tons of melons.

Also, the Comstock worm was found in 670 kg of mangoes, 4 tons of grenade and 8.5 tons of grapes. All infected products did not go on sale. Notifications of the identified violations are sent to the Rosselkhoznadzor to take measures against suppliers.
