We do not always make these decisions, but when the application indicates a major risk, we do not allow ourselves to ignore the signals.
Regarding Bîrligea, he currently has a muscle injury. The double with Aberdeen was crucial to us, probably the most important moment of this season so far. Bîrligea was the only player in his post, without a real replacement. Yes, we have Alibec, but he is not yet physically optimal.
We could not risk playing both matches with Aberdeen without Bîrligea. In fact, it was a risk including him to play between the two parties, and even now he was too tired.
Let us not forget that, when he was at CFR, he rarely caught more than 65 minutes on the field. In us, it constantly evolved 90 minutes, at intervals of only 3 days between matches. But now he was no longer in the physical situation of dealing with this rhythm.
