Dudu Georgescu, the legend of Dinamo and Romanian footballformer “golden ice”, but also the best scorer of all time in the first league, with 252 goals, is 75 years old today. Dudu Georgescu has become four times in a row the goalscorer of the first league ('74 -75, '75 -76, '76 -'77, '77 -'78), and twice the best scorer of Europe, awarding its “golden ice” in '75 and in '77.
Dudu Georgescu made his debut in the first division on June 11, 1969, in the match Progress – Craiova University 3-0. In 1973 he transferred from the Progress to CSM Resita, and between 1973 and 1983 he played for Dinamo.
Pursed striker, with an impressive detention, a very good placement and an extraordinary head game, Georgescu was offered by teams from abroad, but refused to leave Dinamo, the team with which the whole career was identified.
Until he finished his activity, he also played at SC Bacău, Gloria Buzău, Flacăra Moreni, Muscelul Câmpulung and Unirea Urziceni.
On November 23, 1986, Dudu Georgescu played the last match in Division A, Flacăra Moreni – Dinamo 1-3. On that occasion, he scored the last of the 252 goals successful on the first stage. Dudu Georgescu also holds the record of goals scored in the Romanian championship: 252 successes in 371 matches.

All those achievements and satisfactions that we obtained during that period are due only to the work we were doing at training. I was practicing the gateway, but also the centering.
