PAOKthe team prepared by Răzvan Lucescu, drew only a 0-0 in the derby with the rival Aris.

Răzvan Lucescu's black and whites wasted several great opportunities to decide the duel with Aris in their favor and were about to score in the end! In the end it ended 0-0, and in front of the cameras and later at the press conference, Răzvan Lucescu expressed his disappointment for missing the 3 points.

Răzvan Lucescu: “I'm disappointed that we had five great chances and we didn't manage to score”

“We played a very good game. I'm a bit disappointed with the result because we had big chances to win. I really respect the extra effort our players put in. We have difficult games, while teams like Aris play at home and have time and calm to prepare.

The intensity, the reactions, the way we fought were beyond the limit, but I didn't score. Aris' only chance was the corner at the end and if he managed to score there it would be a great injustice”, commented Răzvan.

Asked about the mentality and spirit of PAOK, the Romanian technician put particular emphasis on the image of dominance that his team left despite the fact that they did not manage to win: “You saw the fighting spirit… We have a difficult schedule but we dominated and controlled the game, with and without the ball, against a team that was aiming to beat. We dominated with considerable force as a team. I'm disappointed that we had five big chances and didn't manage to score.”

Răzvan Lucescu: “This year everything became more difficult”

Lucescu jr also blamed injuries and the frequency of matches, which force him to make numerous changes from one match to another. “This is the reality. We have discussed this in previous years as well, but this year everything has become more difficult.

The most important thing is that we have a group of players with good chemistry, good team behavior and a strong mentality. This helps the team regain their strength and confidence and helps them achieve the results they have achieved in derbies – regardless of home games – but also in European games against big opponents.

Therefore, we are forced to rotate, but with the logic that we fight for every situation. The players know this. We lost Konstantelias and also Meite, and that's not easy at all,” stressed the PAOK coach.
