The first week of September will be characterized by a warmer weather than usual and with temperatures approaching and exceeding the threshold of a day of heat, said ANM director, Elena Mateescu in an intervention at Digi24.

“However, the first decade of this year will be characterized by a warmer weather and with temperatures that approach and exceed the threshold of a day of heat, the highest values ​​being expected in the south and south-east of the country,” said the director of ANM.

The heat will return from Tuesday, September 2, when it will be a yellow code for high temperatures and thermal discomfort in Banat, southern Oltenia and Moldova, southern, center and east of Muntenia and in continental Dobrogea.

“Tomorrow we count on temperatures at the scale of the whole country very high for this period, with a gap between 27, until 35, possibly 36 degrees, the highest values ​​being expected in the south and southeast of the country, where we will certainly talk about the heat,” explained Elena Mateescu.

In the western part of the country, strong rains are expected since Wednesday afternoon, according to the ANM forecast.

“If Tuesdays and Wednesdays will bring heat temperatures, especially in the south-south-east of the country, they will come to the pack, starting on Wednesday afternoon and during Wednesday night, and with the phenomena of atmospheric instability, especially in the western half, where the obversals will be more,”

The rains will later expand to several regions in the country. “Even Thursday will bring temporarily accentuated clouds in the western part, northwest, center of the country, but also in the mountain area, where the periods with showers will be characterized by important amounts of precipitation, possibly and of wind intensifications, which can take a local appearance,” said Mateescu.
