Two cars collided on the A1 motorway, Bucharest-Piteşti, Saturday night. Eight people were involved in the accident, two of whom are incarcerated, announces the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.
UPDATE 19.30: The authorities returned with the final balance of the accident: six people, of which two children, needed medical care and were transported to the hospital, according to IGSU.
UPDATE 18.45: Following the accident, five people were injured. “They were transported to the hospital, conscious and cooperative, for specialized investigations,” reports IGSU, which states that the red plan has been disabled.

The road accident occurred between two cars, between the localities of Floreşti-Stoeneşti, on highway 1, at kilometer 35, on the traffic sense Bucharest-Piteşti.
“From the information received at this time, 8 persons would be involved, and two of them would be incarcerated. Given the number of occupants, to make the response mission more efficient, the red intervention plan was activated,” IGSU said.
The traffic in the area has been restricted, while several crews intervene on the spot.
