Israel's defense forces (IDF) and Shin Bet service recovered the 28 -year -old photographer Idan Shiv bodies, killed by Hamas during the October 7 attack, along with the Ilan Weiss volunteer body.

The prime minister's office clarified that the announcement of the return of Idan Shtivi's lifeless body was authorized on Saturday evening, after the Criminal Institute completed the identification process.

“Idan was a talented student in the field of sustainable development and political science and a brave person,” the statement said.

“On October 7, 2023, he participated in the Nova party, and when the terrorist attack began, he intervened to save many of the participants (…) was killed, and his body was raised” by Hamas, the statement said.

Shtivi volunteered to photograph the event.

He joined the party at 6 in the morning, just half an hour before the attack-and he called his friend at 7, telling him that rockets are heard and he left the location.

The hostage car was found full of holes in bullets and blood. The bodies of his friends were found on the spot.

In a statement issued on Saturday night, the prime minister's office said that Netanyahu spoke with the families of both hostages.

Netanyahu “praised the courage of Ilan and Idan, who acted on October 7 to save lives”, adding that he assured families that Israel “works tirelessly to bring back to all hostages, both the living and the dead.”

The Israeli government promises to recover all the hostages

In a separate statement, the Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, transmitted “sincere condolences” to Shtivi's family and praised the courage.

Both Netanyahu and Katz have promised to bring the 48 remaining hostages back. It is believed that twenty of them are alive, but there are concerns for two others, and the other 26 were confirmed as dead.

President Isaac Herzog said in a statement that he hopes that the return of Shtivi's body will “bring some relief to his beloved parents, Eli and Dalit, and his brothers, who have shown a remarkable force in their resolute struggle for his return.”

“These moments of deep pain remind us of a truth: Hamas crimes are crimes against humanity. The world must act with moral clarity and put pressure on the release of all hostages. Until the last,” he said.

The leader of the opposition, Yair Lapid, wrote on X: “We will always remember Impan's smile. Impan, who chose to stay and try to save his friends who danced for life.”

“Delit and Eli, I send you a close hug to your whole family.

The mother of a hostage threatens to sue Benjamin Netanyahu

The mother of an Israeli hostage held in the Gaza Strip for almost 23 months threatens Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to judge and accuse him of “crime”, if his son is not released, AFP reports.

“Netanyahule, if Matan returns to a coffin (…), I will be personally assured that you will be charged with a crime”, threatened Einav Zangauker on Saturday, a foreground reprrzentant of the Families Families Forum, at Tel Aviv, before a manifestation to which thousands of protesters again asked for the war.

Matan Zangauker was abducted on October 7, 2023, along with over 200 other people, in an unprecedented attack of the Islamist Movement in the south of Israel, which triggered the war in the Gaza Strip.

“If Netanyahu chooses to occupy the Gaza Strip instead of accepting the agreement (for an armistice) currently proposed, this means the execution of our hostages and our military,” he accused, in a press conference, in front of the Ministry of Defense, Einav Zangauker.

Near the ministry's headquarters, thousands of protesters demanded the issuance of hostages and stopping the war in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas recently announced that he has accepted a proposal of mediators for a 60 -day armistice and issuing hostages in two stages.

But Israel did not officially respond, and the government ordered the army to prepare for a major offensive against the city of Gaza, with the stated purpose of destroying and issuing the hostages.

The attack on October 7 praised the death of 1,219 people on the Israeli side, most of them civilians, according to a balance sheet prepared by AFP based on official Israeli data. Of the 251 kidnapped people then, 47 are still held hostage in the Gaza Strip, of which they are supposed to be alive.

The Israeli military reprisals resulted in at least 63,371 dead in the Gaza Strip, most civilians, according to the Ministry of Hamas, considered reliable by the UN.
