The former USR president, Elena Lasconi, criticized, in a Facebook post, the measures to reduce the investments of the state promoted by the Government of Ilie Bolojan, the mayor of Câmpulung accusing her prime minister that her actions can affect the development of Romania for the next decades.

“Great care with the austerity measures you take from the desperation to decrease the deficit! The biggest mistake in a capitalist society is to cut the investments. The biggest,” wrote Elena Lasconi.

She asked the head of the Government that cutting the investments funds should be done after an analysis done for each administrative-territorial unit, not in the block.

“Mr. Bolojan, I was relying on your experience from Oradea City Hall and I wonder what you would have done if any of the prime ministers, from the time you were mayor, would have communicated by an ordinance, from the PIX, that you will not continue the projects on European funds?”, Is Lasconi to Bolojan.

It argues that public procurement tenders can take two years, if legal terms are respected, and now old projects, in advanced stages, risk not receiving funding.

“I do not complain for myself Mr. Bolojan, but for the fields that I represent and with great concern about what will happen to Romania,” says Elena Lasconi.

In addition to deprivation of the local communities of the investments they need, the former president of the USR evokes and the political danger that would represent the recent decisions of the government.

“I do not want to be right, but if you do not review the orderly project of projects on European funds, if you do not temper yourself with the absurd measures made from the office, over three years in the parliamentary elections there is a risk of an isolationist majority. From there to dictatorship is only one step. Next decades!
