US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that it is still possible for the United States to be involved in the conflict between Iran and Israel, as well as that he is “open” to the possibility of playing his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, a mediator, AFP reports.
“It is possible to get involved” in the fight that is currently taking place between the two enemy countries in the Middle East, Trump said in an interview, according to ABC News, who said that the Republican president has insisted that the US “is not at this time” involved in military action.

Trump and Putin spoke on the phone for about an hour on Saturday, when the US president was 79 years old.
