Reuters reminded that on Monday President Karol Nawrocki vetoed a law extending state financial support provided to Ukrainian refugees and announced a restriction of their access to children's benefits and healthcare in the future.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski stated that the vetoed act also provided for legal grounds for financing Starlinek for Ukraine – the agency explained.
Nawrocki spokesman told Reuters that the possibility of paying Starlinek could be restored if the parliament adopted the act proposed by the president by the end of next month.
Starlink systems have already experienced several breaks in action that affected Ukraine's military operations – both due to technical problems and Musk's decision to limit their use by the Ukrainian side.
Fedorov announced that Ukraine is developing an “internal network” to ensure the existence of emergency options in the event of Starlinek's failure. – Technical failure should not cause the front break or any important sphere of activity. That is why we must always have options B, C, D and so on – said Fedorov.
