“We are opening a competition to the conclusion of a production distribution agreement in the Kirowohrad region. This plot contains significant lithium resources, which is strategic for energy and technology,” wrote Swyrydenko in the Telegram messenger.

“We are waiting for an investor who will provide not only mining, but also the development of production with a value added in Ukraine. The next steps are the publication of the advertisement within two months, three months to accept applications, and then selecting the winner,” added the premiere.

Earlier, the head of the Chancellery of the President of Ukraine Wołodymyr Zelanski Andrij Jermak reported that the development of the “good” lithium deposit may become the first project as part of cooperation with the United States.

In May, President Zelanski signed an act ratifying a contract regarding mineral resources between the rule of Ukraine and the USA. It provides for the creation of an American-Ukrainian investment fund for reconstruction. The media reported that the contract applies to 57 minerals and American military assistance.

According to the authorities in Kiev, Ukraine has about 5 percent. world “resources of critical raw materials”. At the same time, it has large resources of rare lands – these are 17 elements used for the production of weapons, turbines, electronic equipment and other key products in the modern world. However, some of these deposits were occupied by Russia.

Ukraine also has a third of European lithium resources, a key component of currently produced batteries.
