Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski sent a message of support to the Republic of Moldova on Wednesday, on the occasion of the Independence of the Neighbor State. The message was transmitted in English, Romanian and Ukrainian.
“Significant by the President Maia Sandu and the people of the Republic of Moldova on the occasion of Independence Day,” Zelenski wrote in a post on X.
The Ukrainian leader stressed that the relationship between the two states is one of close cooperation, against the background of the common challenges in the region. “We value the close cooperation between our nations a lot,” he said.
“Our region is deeply interconnected and, together, we must protect our peoples, states and independence. This is exactly what we do: only together, in a united Europe, we can ensure sustainable security and a decent life for all our citizens,” said the leader from Kiev.
