The current special law of March 12, 2022 is valid until September 30, 2025, the report said.

The temporary protection regime for persons moved from Ukraine was extended by the decision of the EU Council until March 4, 2027, and it retains power in the territory of the Republic of Poland, the embassy emphasizes.

“The decisions of the EU Council for temporary protection are required for all EU member states, including Poland, are subject to direct application, and their implementation is ensured by national legislation, in particular by special law. The Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland monitors the development of the situation, is in constant contact with the Polish authorities and will be informed in a timely manner of Ukrainian citizens about official decisions,” the press service said.

Citizens of Ukraine were recommended to refrain from “hasty decisions, in particular regarding the change in legal status in the Poland Republic,” and added that each individual situation requires a separate consultation with a lawyer for a comprehensive analysis of possible legal options.
