Frenchman Stephane Dalmat (46 years old) wore the shirt of Inter for 4 seasons, between 2001 and 2005. He also played for Marseille, PSG, Tottenham and Bordeaux, among others, before retiring in 2013 from Nimes.
Cristi Chivu's side did not win any of their matches against the top teams this season, except for a victory against Roma (1-0). In Serie A, they lost to Juventus (3-4), champion Napoli (1-3) and arch-rival AC Milan (0-1), in the Champions League, they lost against Atletico Madrid (1-2) and Liverpool (0-1).
Stephane Dalmat believes that Inter have not yet mastered the style that Cristi Chivu wants to imprint
In an interview given to the daily Tribuna, the former Nerazzurri midfielder Stephane Dalmat was asked why he thinks that the current Inter capotes in front of the giants, and the Frenchman insisted on two aspects: cthe quality of the team and how much of the style that Cristi Chivu wants to print has been appropriated by the players.
“In my opinion, the problem is that Inter have less quality than everyone wants to believe. And even if they are doing well, the team has not fully mastered the style that Chivu wants to imprint,” commented Dalmat.
However, he does not think that Inter needs reinforcements this winter: “They already have a good squad and they acquired several young players in the summer, who need to be given more confidence. If he has to achieve something important, it is best to do it next season“.
Stephane Dalmat: “Inter will fight for the title until the end”
Even in the current situation, Dalmat sees the Nerazzurri in contention for the title. “Napoli, Milan, Roma, Juventus and Inter, these four will be the teams that will fight for the scudetto until the end,” is the Frenchman's conviction.
Inter is currently the leader in Serie A, with 33 points collected in 15 stages. Before the duel with Atalanta, from the weekend, Cristi Chivu's team is one point ahead of Milanthe second ranked, and two more than the champion Napoli, who completes the podium.
