DIICOT prosecutors reinstated the seizure on all apartments and lands owned by Nordis and Management and Nordis Mamaia, after more than 200 criminal complaints were filed, writes G4media.

The case prosecutor has expanded the criminal prosecution of Nordis Management and Nordis Mamaia for 231 new criminal complaints, with a new and additional injury of 28.5 million euros, according to G4Media.

Last week, Judge Florina Rizescu from the Bucharest Court of Appeal raised seizures of almost 90 million euros instituted by the prosecutor on immovable property (Nordis Mamaia hotel, hundreds of apartments, land, parking places), on the accounts and actions held by the Nordis owners, Vladimir Ciorbă, Florin Alexandru Poor. Management.

The Bucharest Court of Appeal decided on Monday, August 25, to revoke the measure of judicial control in the case of the founders of Nordis – Brothers Gheorghe Emanuel Poştoaca, Nicolae Adrian Poştoacă and Florin Alexandru. The same court decided last week to revoke the judicial control and in the case of Vladimir Ciorbă.

Nordis case

On October 7, 2024, Recorder published an investigation entitled “Nordis Scheme: The Machine to make the money of the most powerful political-human clan”.

The journalists showed that, although in the company controlled by the businessman Vladimir Ciorbă, the husband of the PSD deputy Laura Vicol-Ciorbă entered millions of euros, most of the promised investments were not made. And in the only high building, a hotel in Mamaia, there were “solid clues” that the apartments were sold several times, to several people.

On October 10, Laura Vicol resigned from the PSD, three days after resigning from the head of the Legal Commission of the Chamber of Deputies.

On November 18, G4media showed how the presidential candidate Marcel Ciolacu and other PSD leaders, including Sorin Grindeanu and Alfred Simonis, flew with a private plane rented from the same Nordis group, together with the Vicol-Ciorbă spouses.

On February 3, DIICOT descended to 70 addresses in the Nordis file, for the establishment of an organized criminal group, cheating with particularly serious consequences, misappropriation, tax evasion and money laundering. At the end of the hearings, the prosecutors detained 11 people, including Laura Vicol. They were then preventively arrested by the Bucharest Court of Appeal.

Laura Vicol and Vladimir Ciorbă were preventively arrested on February 5, following a decision of the Bucharest Court of Appeal.

The judge of the Bucharest Court of Appeal motivated the decision to arrest the preventive spouses Vicol-Ciorbă in the Nordis file by the fact that the former head of the Chamber of Deputies had access to confidential data from the investigation and could compromise the investigation. Also, Vicol hid the phone he used to use, coming to the DIICOT headquarters with another mobile.

Accused of deploting tens of millions of euros

Laura Vicol and Vladimir Ciorbă are accused of having misplaced tens of millions of euros from the companies of the Nordis group and spent money on holidays, travel with private aircraft, purchases of luxury goods and cars. The withdrawn amounts came from the injured customers, who paid for apartments that they never received.

Businessman Vladimir Ciorbă and his wife, Laura Vicol were released on February 14, according to the decision taken by the Supreme Court, which admitted their appeals. The magistrates then decided that Vladimir Ciorbă should be placed under judicial control (high measure in the meantime), while the former PSD deputy will be investigated.
