Krasnodar Territory puts dummies instead of fixing cameras on road violations. In this, the region suspected the National Automobile Union. The reason is the largest number of photo scanners, but a record low number of fines – 22 times less than in Moscow.
For understanding: the Kuban entered the TOP-1 in terms of the number of traps installations for 2024, but took the last place in the number of official fines. Per day, one camera records an average of only two violations, when in other large regions up to 60.
Moscow drivers receive about 40 million fines in a year, and the Kuban drivers are only 1.9 million. At the same time, the statistics of accidents are sad: in the Krasnodar Territory, almost 6.5 thousand accidents occurred in the Krasnodar Territory – a risk of accident rate more than in Moscow, and 2.5 times – than in the Moscow region.
According to Mash Vice President of us Anton Shaparin, most of the 2705 fixation cameras in the south may not work, or be a dummy/fake. Now the Union asks the Prosecutor General’s Office to check how the creator of the photo-video system in the region of the NPP MVS (not to be confused with the MVS Group from the Moscow Region) has completed contracts with the region. Plus, how the equipment was purchased, and whether there are cameras in general.
