ANM forecast for the next four weeks. Temperatures above the usual ones at the beginning of September

The last days of August will be characterized by slightly lower temperatures in the southern and eastern end of the country, but also in the center. However, September comes with higher values ​​than the usual ones, according to the four -week forecast published by the National Meteorological Administration (ANM).

Meteorological estimates for four weeks are made by ECMWF – the European Center for Average Forecasts.

“The weekly average of the deviations of the air temperature and the amounts of precipitation compared to the average of the period 2005-2024 is estimated. The extreme phenomena with a short-manifestation cannot be forecast with this product.”says ANM

Week August 25 – September 1

The thermal values ​​will generally be around the normal ones for this week, possibly slightly lower, locally, in the southern and eastern end of the country, as well as in the center.

“The pluviometric regime estimated for this interval will be deficient at the level of the whole country ”estimates ANM.

Week 1 – September 8

The average temperatures will be higher than the normal ones for this period in all regions, but especially in the southern ones.

“The amounts of precipitation will be easily deficient in the Southwest regions, and in the rest will be generally close to the normal ones for this interval”, shows the National Meteorological Administration.

Week 8 – September 15

The average air temperature will have higher values ​​than normal for this interval, throughout the country, but especially in the southern and southwestern regions.

“The pluviometric regime will be deficient in all regions, but especially in the western half of the territory”, is shown in the same estimate.

Week 15 – September 22

ANM announces that, during this time, the average of the thermal values ​​will be easily over the specific ones for this week throughout Romania, but especially in the southwest regions.

The amounts of precipitation will be close to the normal ones for this period, most of the country.
