Valeriu Gheorghiță, clarifications about anti-Covid vaccination: “vaccinated persons do not” eliminate “anything that could harm others”

Valeriu Gheorghiță, a doctor and former coordinator of the National Vaccination Campaign Covid-19, sent a public clarification message about some false information that continues to circulate in the public space.

Doctor Valeriu Gheorghiță offered clarifications about Anti-Covid Vaccination: Facebook
Valeriu Gheorghiță, a former coordinator of the National Vaccination Campaign Covid-19, draws attention to myths that continue to circulate in the public space. “The idea that vaccinated people would “transmit” to other spike proteins or that there would be a phenomenon called Shedding (elimination of viral particles after the vaccine) circulates in the public space. This statement is completely false and devoid of a scientific basis. Vaccines against Covid-19 do not contain live virus and Cannot be removed or transmitted to someone else by contact, intimate relationships, breathing or fluid. Vaccinated people are not a risk to anyone in themselves ”Gheorghiță said in a Facebook post.
In addition, the doctor explains the biological mechanism of the messenger RNA vaccines: “The messenger RNA in the vaccine is rapidly degraded inside the cell, and the Spike protein temporarily produced by the body is recognized by the immune system and is degraded in a short time. It does not remain in the body and is not transmitted to other people.”
Blood transfusions from vaccinated people are safe
Another subject concerned is that of blood donation. “Concerns about blood transfusions from vaccinated persons are also unjustified. Studies and medical practice clearly show that the blood from vaccinated donors is safe. There is no documented risk that transfusion will transmit «Spike proteins» or cause adverse effects associated with vaccine. Transfusion centers around the world (including Romania) have strict regulations, and patient safety is absolute priority“, Declared Gheorghiță.
“Our role, as doctors, is to respond with empathy and clear data”
The doctor encourages the correct information and responsibility before the fake information: “It is natural for people to have questions and fears when such information circulates, especially in the online environment. Our role, as doctors, is to respond with empathy and clear data, based on science and clinical experience”.
Valeriu Gheorghiță concluded by a clear message for the public: “vaccinated persons do not “eliminate” anything that could harm those around”, The messenger RNA and Spike protein are rapidly degraded, and the blood transfusion from vaccinated donors is safe. “Public health depends on trust, correct information and mutual respect”concludes the specialist.
