According to a RIA Novosti study, for each resident of the region as of January 1, 2026, there was an average of 311.6 thousand rubles in accounts and deposits.
This figure is almost one and a half times lower than the average for Russia, where each citizen accounts for about 497 thousand rubles in deposits. At the same time, in relation to average monthly income, Krasnoyarsk deposits amount to 4.7 monthly earnings.
In 2025, the volume of deposits of residents of the region increased by 18.6%, which is higher than the average Russian growth rate, which was 14.5 percentage points. However, this growth turned out to be much more modest than in the two previous years, when record figures of 24-25% were recorded throughout the country.
In the regions neighboring the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the situation is not much different. Thus, the Tomsk region ranks 47th in the top, which is two lines lower in the ranking than Krasnoyarsk. The Irkutsk region was in 51st place, Kuzbass – in 68th, Khakassia – in 74th. The best situation in the Siberian Federal District is observed in the Novosibirsk region. There, per capita there are 407.9 thousand rubles on deposit. The region occupies 21st place in the top.
The first places are occupied by Moscow and St. Petersburg, where on average each resident has more than a million rubles in deposits.
All-Russian data show that after two years of rapid growth, the growth rate of citizens' savings in 2025 has slowed down. Nevertheless, in absolute terms, the volume of deposits in banks increased by 9.2 trillion rubles over the year, reaching 72.6 trillion rubles at the end of the year.
