The president met with Carney in Kiev on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine. At a joint conference, he thanked the soldiers who are fighting in Donbas, talking about the “positive results” of their activities in this region.
– Today, on the day of Ukraine's independence, I would like to thank our soldiers separately. They have very good results in strokes for a long distance, everyone can see it. And today we have very, very good results in Donbas. Good surprises for the Ruthenian, about which the chief commander (Ukrainian army) will later inform – he emphasized.
