A teenager from Iasi managed to escape a 20 -year -old who forced her to prostitute. The young man was sentenced to 6 years and 9 months in prison for child trafficking and child pornography. The decision to sentence to prison is not yet final.

In 2023, when the victim was 16 years old and was in the care of a maternal assistant, in a village in Iași county, the young man used the Loverboy method and promised the teenager that the money raised by her would be for their future marriage, writes ProTV.
Shortly after she and the young man became a couple, the individual convinced her to prostitute himself, to raise money for their future- he told her. He made the girl and an account on a sales platform, to recruit customers. In the coming months, the man thus collected over ten thousand lei.
Eventually the girl realized she was fooled, so she tried to escape.
He created a fake account on a social network, then sent him an anonymous message to the man, telling him he would denounce it. However, he did not stop from abuses, what made her face write in the same way, anonymously, and to the maternal assistant.
He immediately announced the police, and the young man arrived before the court, for minor trafficking and child pornography. The decision to sentence to prison is not yet final.
The National Agency for equal opportunities between women and men (ANES), announced in January that, in 2024, out of the 6,000 calls to the Helpline dedicated to domestic violence, 2,835 were in the field of this type of violence, and 31 on human trafficking.
