President Nicuşor Dan sent a message to Ukraine's Independence on Sunday, in which he reiterated Romania's support for the legitimate effort of Ukraine to defend himself in the face of Russia's continuous aggression
“On the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day, I convey to Ukrainian citizens the hottest greetings and my sincere wishes for peace and security. In the face of Russia's continuous aggression, I would like to reiterate Romania's support for the legitimate effort of Ukraine to defend itself,” the president said in the message published on the site.
Also, Nicușor Dan said that Romania will support “Ukraine's reconstruction efforts and your path to European integration”.
“Your decision serves as a powerful example of the struggle for freedom and democracy against an autocratic enemy. On this special day, I wish the Ukrainian friends renewed and unwavering hope for a better future,” concluded Nicuşor Dan.

In a message sent on Tuesday, following the discussions of European leaders with Donald Trump and Volodimir Zelenski of the White House about Ukraine and Russia's War, the President of Romania said that the “solid” security guarantees to which our country will contribute to Ukraine represent “an investment in the Security of Europe, not just Ukraine.”
