CFR Cluj was defeated 4-1 by Steel, on Sunday, in Galați, in the seventh stage of the Romanian Superliga. The failure comes just three days after the one suffered in Sweden, 7-2 with Hacken, in the first leg of the Conference League playoff.
Patrick managed a hattrick for steel (25`, 45`, 55`), and the last goal of the Galatians was scored by Bană (76`). The only goal of CFR Cluj was scored by Korenica (71`).
The guests played in numerical inferiority from the 50th minute, when Bolgado received a red card.
With only five points after seven stages, CFR Cluj occupies the 13th position at this time. The steel is on 9, with nine points.
Even today CFR Cluj announced that the new coach of the team is the Italian Andrea Mandorlini. Dan Petrescu resigned from the helm of the Transylvanians after the defeat in Sweden.
