According to the president of the Rzeszów-Jasionka airport The Ulma family Adam Hamryszczak, in terms of the number of served travelers July this year, turned out to be the best in the history of the airport.

According to Hamryszczak, charter flights had the largest participation in the July passenger movement. He added that 74,000 took place on tour operators and travel agencies. 27 people, which means an increase by as much as 21 percent year on year.

Among the holiday charter directions was dominated by: Antalia, Sharm El-Saczyk, Heraklion, Tunisia and Rhodes. In turn, in the regular connections segment, the most passengers traveled to Warsaw, London, Munich, Milan and Rome. Most chose Ryanair lines.

“July confirmed that charter connections are the driving force of our movement in the summer season. More and more residents of the macro -region are choosing the Podkarpackie airport as the first point of their holiday journey, which is the result of a consistent expansion of the offer and cooperation with tour operators,” Hamryszczak pointed out.

In his opinion, August also promises to be equally intense and can bring a result similar to July.

He said that the Rzeszów airport currently offers connections on 29 routes to 17 countries. In September, most of the “sunny directions” will be maintained, and in October a novelty will appear – the start of direct flights to the Scottish Edinburgh.
