
“Two weeks ago, we sent all the extradition materials to the Office of the Prosecutor General, and, as far as I know, they are still signed by the Prosecutor General. This is literally an update from the detectives involved in this proceeding,” he said.
The investigator noted that Israel is a very difficult country for extradition. In order to extradite a person from Israel, they actually need to hand over the materials of the entire criminal proceedings.
“We have prepared and translated into their language a large amount of evidence in order to confirm that our suspicion is justified. And that is why we want to extradite these two of our suspects from Israel. We have transferred them to the Office of the Attorney General. It seems to me that the Attorney General should soon sign this extradition petition, these materials, but there may indeed be procedures in the Office of the General to study the validity directly by the Office of the Attorney General,” he said.
