Dramatic moment in Dolj. A policeman stops a conflict alone: ”Leave the ax down!” Threatened, he fired a warning fire
A policeman from Dolj, who noticed that a man armed with an ax ran another man, got out of the car and intervened alone, to save the threatened one. The images in which including the policeman is threatened were advertised.

The event spent on Thursday, August 21, 2025, the policeman managed to prevent a tragedy. The policeman, from the Galicea Mare Police Station, was traveling with the police station to the IPJ Dolj headquarters, when, around 12.20, on DN 56, in Galicea Mare, he saw two buffer cars and surprised a spontaneous conflict between several people, one of them being armed with an ax.
“As a 32-year-old man from Galicea Mare commune was holding a cut-off object, with the intention to hit another man, 44 years old, from Craiova, deputy chief police officer Mititelu Mic Anca Lucreța immediately intervened between the two to prevent the conflict. During the event, another 35-year-old man, the brother of the one armed with the ax, and a 36-year-old man, both from Galicea Mare commune, would have physically assaulted the 44-year-old man. “At the same time, the 32 -year -old man and his brother would have addressed threats with acts of violence to the policeman”IPJ Dolj representatives say.
Reinforcements sent on the spot
In view of the potential for escalation, the policeman requested reinforcements, with several police crews on the spot. Finally, the three men were immobilized and led to the police headquarters, for hearings, and based on the evidence administered, they were detained by the police, for 24 hours, in the aspect of committing the crimes or other violence, threat and disturbing the public order and peace, being in the center of the police.
The case prosecutor within the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Băilești Court was notified in the aspect of committing the offense of outrage. On Saturday, August 23, 2025, men of 36 and 44 were placed under judicial control for a period of 60 days.
