InPost has integrated the InPost Mobile application with the Apple Carplay system. From now on, users of a car equipped with the aforementioned system will be able to remotely open the cache without getting out of the car and using a smartphone.
The new function allows navigation to the selected parcel locker and remote opening of the caches. After connecting the phone with the CarPlay application installed, the InPost Mobile icon appears on the car screen.
The user can check the list of packages waiting for pickup, as well as choose one of the available options: “Navigate” or “Open the cache”. The first of them launches the default navigation application in the car and sets the route to the indicated parcel locker. The second allows you to open the cache after reaching the place – the function works only a short distance from the device, which is to prevent accidental starting.
– This solution increases comfort, safety and facilitates the collection of packages during daily activities. The new functionality will certainly please lovers of technological innovations who value the integration of mobile devices with other “smart” solutions – says Rafał Brzoska, founder and CEO of the InPost group.
Using the service in the car requires consent to sharing the location. It is necessary for the program to navigate to the nearest parcel machine.
According to data published by the company, in 2024 the InPost Group generated revenues of PLN 9.85 billion and paid PLN 375 million CIT, over PLN 100 million more than a year earlier. The tax accounted for 3.8% of revenues and was the highest amount in the company's history.
