The organizers at the US Open gave rise to a situations that the world of tennis looks with misunderstanding. Czech players consecrated in the double test, Kateřina Siniakova, 29, should have competed in a mixed doubles, but eventually left completely.
Initially, the Czech on the start list next to Marcel Arévalo, the world leader. Then he opened his opportunity to participate with the Italian Jannik Sinner, who was looking for a new partner after the withdrawal of Emma Navarro.
However, when Sinner withdrew from the tournament due to medical problems, the organizers, instead of looking for another solution, immediately bet on an American pair – Danielle Collins and Ryan Harrison received a place on the painting, the two being the substitutes who benefited from priority.

The decision has sparked a wave of criticisms, reports Slovak journalists from Sport.SK.
The fans asked why the tournament ignored one of the best double players in the world. On the social networks, suggestions have appeared for this to take a pair, for example, with the Dutch Sander Verbeek, along with whom he shone at Wimbledon. Instead, Siniaková was left out.

“Horrible”, one of the acid comments sounded. Another fan compared the Czech player with a “toy that no one needs.” Critics also stressed that Siniaková sacrificed participation in the Cleveland tournament precisely for the chance to play in a mixed double in New York.
However, the organizers have left to understand from the beginning that they want to attract the stars from the Simple. This approach eventually led to the favor of local players to the detriment of a top double specialist.
Siniaková himself commented on the situation from the period of uncertainty: “If in a Grand Slam is played double mixed and two world leaders in double, then I have nothing to add.”
Thus, for the athlete from Hradec Králové, the mixed double test from the US Open became an episode that finally took place without it. The fans asked for “justice for Siniaková” and did not hesitate to criticize the organizers, who, in their opinion, they have transformed the competition into a “circus for local favorites”.
