Power engineers released 50 thousand fry of sturgeon in Yenisei to restore the population

Employees of Siber (the Siberian Generating Company) unit released about 50 thousand sturgeon fry in Yenisei in the Bolshemurtinsky district near the village of Parse.
The place, date and time of release, as well as the type of fish, determined the Yenisei territorial department of the Federal Reservoir, the representative of which was also present at the environmental event.
Opestr – a specially protected type of fish, listed in the Red Book. Since 1998, his catch has been prohibited in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Natural propagation is complicated due to excessive production and poaching. The breeding of sturgeon artificially and the subsequent release is one of the main methods of preserving the species. Therefore, most often, experts choose sturgeon fry for buries.

The replenishment of aquatic biological resources is a voluntary initiative of energy. A company actively using water resources considers it important to develop this direction. At the same time, the action to increase the number of sturgeon in the Yenisei is only part of the environmental program of the SGK.
The company replaces obsolete boiler houses, transfers the private sector to electric heating, installs charging stations for electric vehicles, and introduces modern environmental equipment at the TPP. So, the Krasnoyarsk TEP-1 is building electrifilters to clean the emissions, and the TPP-3 simultaneously with the power unit is building a new environmental installation.
