Matteo Salvini asked by journalists for a comment to Macron's proposal to send European troops to Ukraine, he replied: – In Milan, he would say: a cluster of tram.

– Drive as you like. Put a helmet, vest, take a rifle and go to Ukraine – added the right -wing league leader, whose statement was broadcast on Wednesday by Italian media.

The deputy prime minister said: – I think that Trump in his style, which may sometimes seem rough and unusual, manage to do what others could not: plant at the table of Putin and Zelanski, which has not happened for years.

He expressed the opinion that the concepts of “European troops, rearming Europe and joint debt to buy bullets”, and other similar, as he said, “macronats” would not come into force.

– Let's not disturb those who work for peace. Let warnators and bombs of bombs silence, at least in August – said Matteo Salvini.

Our sons will not go to fight to Ukraine, that's for sure he said.

The deputy prime minister also referred to the hypothesis of the organization of the three -sided meeting of the presidents of the USA, Russia and Ukraine in Budapest; “In the House of Evil Orban, Sovereign Orban, ally Salvini and Le Pen,” he emphasized, reference to criticism with the Prime Minister of Hungary.

This is another controversial statement by Salvini about the President of France. In March this year, the Italian ambassador in Paris was at an interview at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after the league leader called Macron a “madman”.

Lithuania is ready to send their troops

Lithuania is ready to send soldiers to Ukraine as part of a peacekeeping mission – said on Wednesday the president of the country Gitanas Nauseda. In an interview with TV3, he estimated that it could be about 200 soldiers – as much as the country sent in a mission to Afghanistan.

“Lithuania's involvement in a peace mission will probably not be significantly different in terms of quantitatively from what we have done in Afghanistan,” said Nauseda.

The president emphasized, however, that it is too early to talk about sending soldiers, because “perhaps other things will be required from us” as part of participating in the “Coalition of Volunteers”.

“We are ready to bring as much as the Sejm's mandate allows, both by sending peace and through our military equipment,” Nauseda assured.
