In April, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz is to sign an agreement with local governments on the location of missile troops in Gostynin near Płock (Masovian Voivodeship), as well as in Łowicz (Łódź Voivodeship), said Piotr Zgorzelski, deputy speaker of the Sejm, PSL MP from Płock, on Wednesday.

Vice-Marshal Zgorzelski and Minister of Infrastructure Dariusz Klimczak participated in Wednesday's press conference at the Sejm, during which it was announced that the route of the S10 expressway, 120 km long, had been selected in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian and Masovian Voivodeships, including the section near Płock.

Zgorzelski also announced that on April 22 this year, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak Kamysz will visit the Territorial Defense Forces unit being established in Trzepowo near Płock, and earlier in nearby Gostynin he will “sign an agreement on the location” of missile troops there, as well as in Łowicz.

The Vice-Marshal noted that April 22 is the initial date of the visit of the head of the Ministry of National Defense to Trzepowo and Gostynin. Referring to a conversation with the commander of the Territorial Defense Forces, Major General Krzysztof Stańczyk, he emphasized that “probably at the turn of June and July” this year. Soldiers will already be stationed in Trzepowo. He added that it was “a battalion command, two companies and one platoon.”

In July 2025, Kosiniak-Kamysz and the staroste of Płock, Sylwester Ziemkiewicz, signed a letter of intent regarding the deployment of units of the 6th Masovian Territorial Defense Brigade from Pomiechówek on the premises of the former agricultural school in Trzepowo near Płock, covering approximately 5 ha and then belonging to the Masovian University of Płock. As announced then, approximately 500 soldiers will be stationed there.

In December 2025, a notarial deed was concluded at the district office in Płock between the Mazovian University of Płock and the Ministry of National Defense regarding the location of the unit. Then, in February this year, the final decision was made at the Ministry of National Defense to deploy soldiers of the Territorial Defense Forces to Trzepów. Technical preparations for this deployment are currently underway there. Orders have been announced for infrastructure elements of the future unit, such as residential modules.

According to the authorities of the Płock district, the presence of the army in its area is important, among others: due to the oil sector companies that have their headquarters there, along with the production plant in Płock, as in the case of Orlen, and the crude oil storage base in nearby Miszewko Strzałkowskie, as in the case of PERN. Both of these companies manage critical infrastructure important for Poland's energy security.

The mayor of this city, Agnieszka Szyperska-Korajczyk, announced on Wednesday on social media the plans to station soldiers in Gostynin and the signing of an agreement on this matter with the Deputy Prime Minister and the head of the Ministry of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

“A military unit will be established in Gostynin. Our city has a huge opportunity for economic development and, consequently, for hundreds of new jobs,” wrote Szyperska-Korajczyk on her Facebook profile. She also mentioned that on Wednesday she had a meeting with Deputy Marshal Zgorzelski and Deputy Minister of National Defense Paweł Bejda, regarding the new unit and details of the visit of Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz planned for April.
