The Dan Bodea rally pilot died in a tragic accident on the circuit, even during an official stage in the National Rally Cross championship in Campulung.

Dan Bodea, one of the most famous rallies in Romania, lost his life during an official stage of the Rally Cross National Championship,
The tragedy happened in Câmpulung, where a car escaped from control and left the road, hitting the technical area. In the crowd was Dan Bodea, who was seriously injured.
“The car entered directly into the area where there were more people, and Dan Bodea had no chance,” I say witnesses to the accident.
The medical teams present at the event intervened to give you the first aid. Unfortunately, despite the resuscitation maneuvers, Dan Bodea's life could not be saved.
Shortly after the tragedy, the Romanian Federation of Sports Automobilism (FRAS) sent an emotional message:
“Unfortunately, Dan Bodea's life could not be saved. The second injured person is outside any danger, needing medical care. The transmission of this news fills us with sadness. The organizers express their entire compassion and all the support for the family, colleagues and friends of Dan. This event.
Authorities have opened an investigation to accurately determine how the accident occurred.
