“The National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) announces the start, in the immediate period, of a series of fiscal controls that will target over 500 large taxpayers from various fields of economic activity. The controls will be carried out by the territorial tax inspection structures, by delegation of competence from the General Directorate for the Administration of Large Taxpayers”, announces ANAF in a press release.
The purpose of these actions is to check the way in which the provisions of fiscal and accounting legislation are respected, to evaluate the correctness of the obligations declared and paid to the state budget, but also to identify and manage the risks of fiscal non-compliance.
The selection of taxpayers included in the control program is based on detailed fiscal risk analyses, carried out by ANAF's specialized structures. They use information from internal databases and integrated IT applications of the institution.
ANAF representatives specify that the intensification of controls is part of the strategy to increase tax compliance, through which taxpayers are supported to correctly apply the legal provisions.
