– Any contacts with the participation of leaders must be very thoroughly prepared- said Lavrov on Rossija-24 television.

The minister assured that Russia is involved in efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, including through meetings in double -sided or tripartite format.

– President (Vladimir Putin) repeated it many times. The most important thing is not to strive for these formats for the sake of media or evening messages – he added.

He stipulated that the future peace agreement would have to take into account Russian security interests. “Without respecting Russia's security interests, without fully respecting the rights of Russians and the Russian -speaking population living in Ukraine, there can be no long -term agreement, because these causes (conflict – PAP) should be urgently removed under (its) solutions,” he announced.

The head of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs: There are no signs of good will

Russia does not show signs of good will in negotiations about the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war-said the head of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jose Manuel Albares in Tuesday's interview with Bloomberg. The politician called for the suspension of weapons and then “just peace”.

The Spanish minister gave an interview the day after the meeting of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelanski with US President Donald Trump in the White House. Several European leaders also took part in these conversations, but without the Prime Minister of Spanish Pedro Sanchez. The head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the Secretary General of NATO Mark Rutte also participated in the negotiations.

Despite the absence of Sanchez in Washington, Albares reminded on Tuesday that Spain is one of the so -called countries Coalition of volunteers and “an important country supporting the sovereignty of Ukraine.” He assured that the Spanish Prime Minister was in constant contact with Zelanski.

The head of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs first called for the suspension of weapons, and then to “a real dialogue for a fair and lasting peace.” At the same time, he expressed the belief that Russia “shows no signs of good will” in this direction.

US President Donald Trump announced on Monday after talks with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelnski and European leaders that he was in the process of arranging the meeting of the Ukrainian president with Putin regarding the end of the war. After him, there would be another meeting, three -sided, with his participation.
