The Razem Party is the strongest in history, it gathers people who want a pro-social future – said the leader of this party, Adrian Zandberg, on Saturday in Poznań. According to the politician, the increased popularity of Razem is also the result of disappointment with the current government.

Adrian Zandberg assessed that after two years of government of the current coalition, Poles' disappointment is growing; falling trust in Prime Minister Tusk translates into the growing popularity of Razem.

Disappointment with the government did not come out of nowhere. Nothing is happening when it comes to key issues: health, housing, but also moving Poland towards the future, investing in science, research and the development of universities. Poland is standing still, on some issues we are simply going backwards, he said during a press conference.

The Razem co-chairman said that his group had warned about many problems a long time ago. – We have the longest queues to specialist doctors for over a dozen years. This is not an act of God, but a consequence of specific political choices that we have warned the current majority against. Two years ago we said that the reluctance of liberals to reform public health care and increase expenditure on it would result in progressive privatization. Today, thousands of people take the last penny out of their pockets and try to save themselves by undergoing private treatment, he said.

When asked how Razem intends to convince disappointed PiS and KO voters in the next parliamentary elections, he assured that his party proposes specific solutions to the real problems of Poles.

– We are talking about what to do with the housing market – we presented our draft anti-speculation tax bill in parliament last week. When we talk about the need to fight the inequalities that are tearing Polish education apart, we come up with specific solutions, i.e. the introduction of universal free meals in schools, following the example of our neighbors on the other side of the Baltic Sea. We show specific solutions and gather people around these specific solutions, he said.

– The Civic Platform said: no to increasing spending on public health care, to investing in science, research and development, and in co-financing universities. We think it was a mistake, that's why we are not in this government. Together we exist to bring about pro-development and pro-social change. Today we are ruled by people for whom elections were not the beginning of the road, the beginning of work, but the end. It's time to call it a day and start hiring state-owned companies, Zandberg added.

The politician noted that it is also due to Poles' disappointment with the current government that Razem is today the strongest in history.

– The Razem Party is the strongest in history, it brings together people who want a pro-social future. We do not have multi-million subsidies or support from wealthy businessmen. We are growing month by month. Now we have the task of turning it into an efficient election campaign and entering the next parliament with sufficient strength, he said.

Adrian Zandberg criticized President Karol Nawrocki and Prime Minister Donald Tusk for waging – as he assessed – an infantile war between them.

– This war at the top that we have been seeing in recent weeks, when it comes to the services, when it comes to the army, is inappropriate. The fact that the President and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, like quarreling influencers, exchange videos on social networks does not serve the authority of the state. There are areas, and one of them is supervision over the army, supervision over the services, where politicians should communicate outside the cameras and without recording videos posted on the Internet, he said. An exchange on social media platforms between the prime minister and the president took place last week; the dispute concerned the issue of the nomination of future officers of the Military Counterintelligence Service and the Internal Security Agency.

Adrian Zandberg came to the capital of Greater Poland for the opening of the new party office. It is located in the city center, at ul. Mokra 1. (PAP)
