First European Council for Nicușor Dan
Nicușor Dan is present, Thursday and Friday, at the first European Council since he took over his mandate as president. The meeting takes place in Brussels, where European leaders discuss support for Ukraine, the Middle East crisis, European security, economic competitiveness and external relations, according to the Presidential Administration.
The meeting comes one day after the NATO summit in The Hague in which the Allies have committed to significantly increase the expenses for common defense and on continuing support for Ukraine.
The Ukraine war was also present on the agenda of the European Council in Brussels where the heads of state and government will discuss the continuation of support for Kiev, about negotiations for fair peace and on pressures on Russia.

There are many topics, first of all is the Council after the NATO summit and there will be topics on defense, including the increase of expenses and how can Europe produce military equipment. It is an important security component, Romania's interests are for the Republic of Moldova. At Romania's initiative it will be a section on the Black Sea,”
The heads of state and government of the European Council have reconfirmed the financial and military support for Ukraine, as well as its right to self -determination. The European leaders have agreed that the financial assistance offered by the European Union of Kiev this year will exceed the amount of 30 billion euros, while the Member States are committed to intensify Milt's support for Ukraine.

In the press release issued after the European Council meeting on Thursday, the EU is said to intensify the pressure on Russia so that it will agree with an armistice, followed by “significant negotiations”, the possibility of a new sanctions against Moscow, to target the Energy and Financial Sector of Russia, including the “Fan,”
