Devastating attack with Russian drones in Kharkov: Three people, among whom a child died and 17 were injured

The Ukrainian city of Kharkov was the target of an attack with Russian drones on Monday, August 18, after which three people died, including a small child, and 17 were injured.

“Three people died, including a small child. Another 17 people were injured, among them six children.”wrote the mayor of the city, Igor Terehov, on Telegram, who had previously announced that a Russian drone caused several fires in a residential building.
The city near the border with Russia, the second largest city in the country before the Russian invasion, had been hit a few hours earlier by a Russian ballistic missile, attacking at least 11 people, according to the mayor.
At Sumî, the head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleg Grigorov, announced on Monday morning that Russian attacks, with a bomb and then with a drone, resulted in the injury of two people: “a 57-year-old woman (…) who is not in serious condition” and “A 43 -year -old driver (…) who was transported to the hospital ”.
Meanwhile, the President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, has arrived in Washington, where he is about to have a bilateral meeting with his American counterpart Donald Trump.
“I am grateful to the President of the United States for the invitation. We all want equally to end this war quickly and permanently. And I hope our common strength with America and our European friends will force Russia to accept a real peace ”Zelenski said on social networks, after his arrival in Washington on Sunday evening.
