The National Meteorological Administration issued an unstable yellow code for Bucharest valid until tonight at 23.00.

During this time, the degree of atmospheric instability will be high. The sky will be temporarily cloudy, and at the beginning of the interval, but especially in the evening and at night there will be periods with showers (water quantities around 15 l/sqm) and electric shocks.

The wind will be weak and moderate, with intensifications after noon (gusts of 40… 50 km/h). The maximum temperature will be 29 … 30 degrees, and the minimum one 15 … 17 degrees.

Rains and other regions of the country

Also under the yellow code there will be most of Oltenia, western, north and center of Muntenia, southern Transylvania. And also until 23.00, this evening.

In most of the Oltenia, in the west, northern and center of Muntenia, as well as in the south of Transylvania, there will be periods with atmospheric instability that will manifest through torrential showers, electric discharges, wind intensifications (gusts of 50… 70 km/h) and on restricted areas of small hail (3). In short intervals and by accumulation, the quantities of water will be 20… 30 l/sqm and isolated over 40… 50 l/sqm. Such phenomena will be on the restricted areas and in the rest of the territory, and in the south of Moldova and in Bărăgan there will be wind intensifications, generally, of 40 … 50 km/h.

Orange code in several counties

Other counties will be under the orange code, until tonight at 21.00. Target phenomena: accentuated atmospheric instability, important quantitative showers.

Affected areas: Vâlcea, Olt, Argeș, Teleorman counties, Mountain area of Alba, Sibiu, Brașov, Dâmbovița, Prahova counties

In the counties of Vâlcea, Olt, Argeș, Teleorman, as well as the mountain area of Alba, Sibiu, Brașov, Dâmbovița and Prahova counties will be important quantitative showers, frequent electric discharges and on restricted areas of strong wind intensifications (rags of 70 … 90 km/h) (3). In short intervals or by accumulation, the quantities of water will be 40… 50 l/sqm and isolated over 60 l/sqm.
