Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan states that the only solution to solve the difficult financial situation of the country is to adopt the package 2 measures and other packages, stressing that things cannot be corrected “if they are transferred to one area or another”. “If this happens, the country will return to the same difficult situation,” he added.
The prime minister argues that, for him, as a person in a position, it is not a problem that his image will be a bad one. “This position is for our country and it is not a problem for me that I will go wrong, it is important not to go bad for Romania,” adds the prime minister, commenting that, “bad news, they remain very few and sometimes seem alone in this situation”, while “to the good news is always great.”
“We have to do our reforms, it is not pleasure for anyone to take such measures, you do not take them with an open heart,” says the prime minister.
He claims that any person on a public post must do what he needs for the community, not for his image.
“For me it was not a convenient situation, because I realized since last year in which direction Romania is going. This is the truth: you better tell people the truth, so that you do not create some expectations that cannot be honored,” added Ilie Bolojan.
The Ministry of Development placed on Thursday, August 7, in public consultation the measures regarding the reform of the public administration, which provide for the reduction by over 6,000 positions at the Cabinet of the Central and Local Administration, but also new rules for performance evaluation and for the occupation of positions. From the cutting of the more than 6,000 counselors, a reduction of expenses of over 193.9 million lei over the last 4 months of this year and annual savings of over 581.76 million lei are expected.
At the same time, the Minister of Public Finance, Alexandru Nazare, presented a series of fiscal measures, such as new regulations regarding the establishment of the SRL, the taxation of companies or new regulations regarding the POS.
