The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday that Russian forces have shot down 300 Ukrainian drones and attacked several Sapsan missile deposits. The announcement comes in the context of the fierce struggles in the Donetk region, where the Ukrainian troops are trying to stop the Russian advance, reports Reuters.
According to Moscow, the Russian forces obtained better positions near the town of Zoloti Kolodiaz, in the Donetk region, although maps broadcast by pro-Ukrainian sources show that Ukrainian forces have limited the Russian advance.
The Russian Defense Ministry also says that fighter jets, drones and missiles have been used to hit Sapsan missile deposits.
Also, “four guided air bombs and 300 unanswered aircraft vehicles were shot down by air defense systems,” the Russian Ministry said.
The Sapsan rocket is the latest generation ballistic missile developed by Ukraine.
