An 18-year-old Romanian is among the 40 young people who died in the fire that took place on New Year's Eve in Crans-Montana, the Valais Cantonal Police announced on Sunday. The MAE confirms that it is the Romanian whose disappearance was reported after the tragedy in the Swiss bar.
16 new victims of the fire have been identified and their bodies have been handed over to their families, the Valais cantonal police announced on its website. They are four Swiss women, aged 18, two aged 15 and one aged 14, six Swiss aged 31, 20, 18, 17 and two aged 16, two Italians aged 16, a citizen with dual nationality (Italian and the United Arab Emirates) aged 16, a Romanian aged 18 years, a 39-year-old Frenchman and an 18-year-old Turkish man.
