A history specialized in Central and Eastern Europe says that in this war “it is not about the expansion of NATO or the provision of a terrestrial corridor to Crimea. Timothy Garton Ash is a British historian, author and commentator. He is a professor of European studies at Oxford University. “Trump considers Ukraine as a real estate business, not as an existential war. He misunderstands Putin's goals and does not have the necessary decision to face it or to ensure sustainable peace,” believes the British historian.
