When is the Trump-Zełenski-Putin meeting? A possible date


When could a three -sided peak occur? According to the latest reports of the Axios portal, the US president wants to organize such a meeting “quickly”. Two sources say that this could happen this Friday, August 22.
As Axios notes, Vladimir Putin has not yet committed himself to such a meeting.
“Donald Trump will meet with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelnski on Monday in Washington. In a telephone conversation at the summit, he also told European leaders that he wants to organize a three -sided peak with Putin and Zełnski the next Friday. However, taking into account Putin, the breakthrough seems unlikely,” we read.
The President of Ukraine says “no”
US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that Ukraine should conclude an agreement to end the war with Russia, because “Russia is a very powerful power and they are not.” During the summit of US and Russia leaders Vladimir Putin was to demand a major part of Ukraine's territory.
According to Reuters, citing his sources, during the later conversation between Donald Trump and the President of Ukraine, the Volodymyr Zelnski was to be discussed the proposal to freeze most of the front lines, if Kiev forces will renounce the whole Donetskthe industrial region, which is one of Moscow's main goals.
The agency reports that President Zelanski firmly rejected this proposal.
The Donetsk region has been partly occupied by Russia for over a decade and in this area the Russian troops have been moving at the fastest pace since November 2024.
