The spokesman of the Russian Foreign Ministry appreciated the warm reception offered by Donald Trump to the Kremlin leader. And then he ironized the Western press with this, according to a message quoted by Tass.

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zaharova, commented on her Telegram channel the meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

“The Western press is in a state that can be called madness, at the limit of total madness: for three years they talked about the isolation of Russia, and today they saw the red carpet that welcomed the Russian president in the United States,” said Zaharova, quoted by Tass.

The official of the Foreign Ministry had this reaction after the warm reception reserved for Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

Trump applauded the Kremlin leader, stretched the red carpet and then took it in the presidential limousine, on the way to the location where the negotiations take place.

International observers repeatedly claimed that Putin's mere invitation is a victory for Putin, which was isolated in the Western world.

Trump's applause has already aroused additional comments from Trump's critics.

As for the Western press, Vladimir Putin did not answer reporters' questions before the first round of discussions with Trump.

He was asked if he would agree with an armistice, if he were to stop killing civilians and why Trump should trust his word now.

Kept the silence. Putin was then seen shouting something in the direction of the press, but it is not clear what he said.
