Liverpool's supporter who insulted racist on Semenyo was detained by the police

A 47 -year -old man from Liverpoolwas detained after Antoine Semenyohis player Bournemouthclaimed that it was the target of racist abuses during the Premier League opening match against “Cormorants”, on Anfield, score 4-2 in favor of the en-Titre champion.
Following the incident, which led to the match for a few moments, the Ghana striker scored a “double” and restored equality, 2-2, but “Cormorants” also scored through Federico Chiedo and Mohamed Salah, after Hugo Ekitike and Cody Gakpo scored the first two goals of the match.
The supporter that insulted Semenyo was detained
The match, played on Friday night, was interrupted in the 29th minute, when Semenyo alerted the referee on the incident. According to the Merseyside police, a 47 -year -old man from Liverpool was identified and removed from the stands following the complaint.
On Saturday, he was detained under the suspicion of violation aggravated by racial motivation of public order and taken to interrogation.
The match was resumed four minutes later. Shortly after, Semenyo scored two goals for Bournemouth, who would finally lose 4-2 in front of the champion.
The captain of the “Cireșe” team, Adam Smith, praised the attitude of his colleague, declaring for Sky Sports: “This demonstrates Semenyo's strength. He reported the referee's incident and went on. Liverpool's players also supported Semenyo and our team.”
Liverpool's coach, Arne Slot, regretted the episode: “He shadowed the glow of the game a little, because our fans were incredible, especially in the tributes to Diogo.”
Premier League confirmed that it will open an investigation, while the English Federation said: “There is no room for such behaviors. We will collaborate with referees, clubs and authorities to determine the facts and ensure that appropriate measures are taken”.
