White unmarked vans – is a new battle of the Czech police for inattentive drivers. The cars are equipped with modern equipment, and the camera installed on the roof allow you to look even into the cabin of the truck.

At the beginning of the week, new official vehicles came into the hands of Czech policemen – white vans serving as unmarked police cars. The main task of the patrol in “Delves” is to control whether drivers of other vehicles do not use mobile phones while driving, have fastened belts and whether they warn the ban on overtaking.
It is primarily about trucks and buses, whose observation from an ordinary police car because of their size is difficult. New vehicles have several adjustable cameras on the roofs installed, which allow you to look directly into the truck or bus cab.
The first tests of new equipment showed that it is very useful in patrolling highways. In just 30 hours of work, officers from vans managed to reveal 24 offenses. Most often it was a conversation on the phone without a speakerphone.
The usefulness of unmarked vans will last until the end of the holiday. In the case of positive results, the police plan not only to buy more copies, but also to equip them with additional devices, such as mobile car scales.

In the Czech Republic, drivers' inattention is the cause of 42 percent. road accidents with fatalities.
