Honorary benefits for the age of 100 under the Act are paid from January 1, 2025. They are entitled to persons who are 100 years old and have the right to a pension, e.g..

It is granted ex officio, which means that you do not have to apply for it.
People who do not have the right to their own pension or disability pensions, but have Polish citizenship, are at least 100 years old and had a center of personal or economic interests in Poland for at least 10 years after the age of 16, may also apply for a benefit. In such a situation, ZUS will grant the benefit from the month in which the application has been submitted.
He will receive the decision to grant an honorary benefit from the institution that pays the basic benefit. If he has the right to pension benefits paid by two different institutions, the benefit will grant and will pay ZUS.
The application form for honorary benefit (ESH) is available on the ZUS.PL website and in every ZUS facility.
The act, which entered into force at the beginning of 2025, replaced the earlier mechanism of granting an honorary benefit. Then they were treated as the so -called Exceptional benefits, which were granted in a fixed amount corresponding to the value of the base amount in force on the day of the age of 100. The established amount of the benefit remained unchanged at the time.
The new mechanism equalized all the benefits paid, regardless of how long they were taken, to one, the same amount for everyone. The Act also guaranteed annual valorization, which, like the valorisation of pensions and disability pensions, takes place in March.
